Tammy began practicing yoga in 2002 during her first pregnancy. She searched out prenatal yoga classes as a proactive approach to avoiding excessive pain due to her scoliosis. In addition to providing two, virtually pain free pregnancies, yoga enabled her to embrace and appreciate the changes that took place in her body. Her two boys continue to be an inspiration to her yoga practice.
Using her creativity Tammy's yoga classes take children on an adventure of the imagination by enabling them to become amazing creatures in the various yoga poses. She uses music, books, games and art projects to enhance the cognitive learning process. Tammy focuses on the many benefits children receive from yoga, such as coordination, balance, posture, creative expression, sharing and cooperation. The non-competitive activities she presents in her classes will build confidence and instill a sense of well being. Tammy brings excitement, laughter and fun to all her classes.
In 2008 Tammy received her Foundations Teacher Certificate from YogaKids®. She continued her training by completing her 200 hour training at Cityoga in 2009 where she studied under Nikki Myers and Marsha Pappas. Tammy also holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing degree that she draws upon daily in her position as a Marketing Specialist with a Fortune 500 company.
